The
luxury crystal goods retailer Swarovski
has emerged from the UK recession
completely unscathed following a 9%
increase in like-for-like sales.
Despite the recent economic downturn Swarovski had
15 new openings throughout 2009, taking the total number of UK
stores to 102.
Thanks to a booming consumer goods business, Swarovski is
planning on sticking to its ongoing expansion
program and will continue to open new boutiques as opportunities
arise.
In the first half of 2010 the company will introduce the new
Crystal Forest
retail design in 10 selected new UK locations. Designed to give
customers a
‘sensory experience’ the theme revolves around white textured walls
featuring reflective white prisms.
The plans to rebrand the company’s outlets in the UK are part of
a global five-year roll-out that will see all Swarovski stores
adopt the new look.
Hayley Quinn, General Manager for Swarovski UK and Ireland said
she was incredibly excited about by the new concept and its impact
on the UK marketplace.
She added: “Pursuing our development as a ‘Modern Lux brand’,
Swarovski’s
new retail concept highlights the infinite possibilities of crystal
and illustrates
the company’s deep affinity with nature, while continuing the
constant quest for innovation, modernity and perfection for its
crystal jewellery, fashion accessories, and home decor
objects.”

and I am called on to
