Using advanced security for Microsoft Outlook; the EARNIE IQ
Timesheet Central and Timesheet Remote Communication
When using the Export To Remote Sites facility from Timesheet
Central or Transmit to TC from Timesheet Remote, it is possible the
following message will appear. The message may not be apparent
because it has not appeared on the screen but it is visible in the
Windows Taskbar.
You will get a message saying "Microsoft Office Outlook", a
program is trying to automatically send email on your behalf. Do
you want to allow this? If this is unexpected it my be a virus and
you should choose "No".
The message appears for security reasons and is prompting the
user because an external program (Timesheet) is attempting to use
Microsoft Office Outlook to send an e-mail. The message only occurs
on certain versions of Microsoft Office Outlook e.g. Microsoft
Office Outlook 2003. If you want to permit Outlook to send messages
from Timesheet without having to respond to a prompt each time, you
must give access to Outlook from Timesheet. We have identified a
utility to allow you to do this. It is called "Advanced Security
for Outlook and it is free. However it comes from a company that is
not associated with Intex. Please read our disclaimer at the end of
this document. Follow the steps below to configure Advanced
Security for Outlook
- Go to www.mapilab.com/outlook/security
and select the Primary Download from Download Advanced Security for
Microsoft Outlook

the zip file downloaded. To install you must be logged on to the PC

will see the Advanced Security for Outlook screen. The screen may
not be apparent because it has not appeared maximized on the screen
but it will be visible on the Windows Taskbar named 'Advanced
Security for Outlook'. You will get a message box saying "the
following program is trying to automatically send email on your
behalf....
- Select 'Allow Access' and tick the 'Always perform this action
for this file' option.
- From this point on there will be no prompt when using the
