We have tried to answer your questions below about tranferring
from EARNIE/32 Professional to EARNIE Executive. If you have

1. Why is this upgrade required?
EARNIE/32 Professional Edition is the oldest EARNIE product that
is supported. A number of changes to legislation such as RTI
(Real Time Information) and Workplace Pension Reforms are being
introduced by HMRC over the next few years. This will mean
our products will require additional development which we are only
able to complete in our more recent products.
2. Are there any additional charges to
the upgrade fee?
No the upgrade fee is a one-off fee to transfer your
licence to the later version of EARNIE. Your maintenance
costs will remain the same (apart from standard annual increases)
and there will be no additional costs to pay.
3. Will any of my EARNIE data be
affected?
None of your existing EARNIE data will be affected. Any
history you have will be kept and you will be able to access
employee records as normal.
4. When can I do the transfer?
You can do this at any time up to December 2011 – it is an
extremely quick process and should take you less than 5 minutes to
complete.
5. What is involved in upgrading to EARNIE
Executive?
We will send you a new PIN which you will need to enter into the
Admin section on EARNIE. Instructions will be sent to you
along with the new PIN
6. Can I still run on the same operating
system?
Yes the operating requirements for EARNIE Executive are exactly
the same as for EARNIE/32 Professional Edition.
7. Is any training required?
No the systems are extremely similar and no additional training
is required.
8. Will I get the same features and additional
modules that I currently have on EARNIE/32 Professional
Edition?
Yes we will match the licence for EARNIE Executive to your
current licence. You will not lose any functionality by
upgrading to EARNIE Executive.
