certificate on your PC.

Error 5040 - Submission already received for this employer
The message has been generated by the Government gateway and is
a notice that they already have a return submitted on their
servers, only one submission can be made per company.
If any changes need to be made to the submission then you will
have to log into the HMRC website as amendments cannot be made to
year end submissions through your payroll software.
